SOWIF gave two talks at DFD 2024.

The Stories of Women in Fluids Initiative harnesses the power of storytelling to recruit and retain femme-identifying individuals, particularly those of color, in STEM. Through two anthologies—Persevere, Survive, and Thrive and The Story of a Girl—the initiative highlights women’s resilience and illuminates the cultural and social factors shaping their paths in fluid dynamics. From early-career scientists to middle-grade readers, these stories aim to inspire curiosity, representation, and belonging in science.
